Hunting also has many health and well-being benefits for veterans and their families including fitness, adventures and challenges of getting into the mountains and forests, comradeship and the harvesting of the healthiest game meat possible for your families.
Join SSAANZ top instructors as they take you through safety and equipment, game animals in NZ, ethically killing your animal, animal behaviour and stalking techniques required to begin your journey to becoming a hunter. Our guides will also do their best to ensure each participant has a shot at their first animal and teach how the animal is butchered and prepared for the table.

HUNTING SKILLS COURSE
Hunting and gathering your own Kai is a basic human right and New Zealand has access to some of the best hunting in the world. Supercharge your learning with this information-packed, fun course. These hunting courses fill up fast so be in quick.
Basic Details are as follows:
Lesson on selecting gear, kill shots/marksmanship, animal behaviour and preparing your venison.
Breakfasts and evening meal provided, snacks and lunch not included.
all things going well each student will have the opportunity to harvest an animal. It’s up to you though.... we can’t pull the trigger for you!
